Atlas lives with a female Anatolian Shepherd Dog in Southern California, and protects miniature horses and chickens.

About Atlas

Atlas prefers to be outdoors with his miniature horses, though, if the weather is prohibitively bad, he will deign to join the family indoors for a while. 

His owners do period recreation events with the Society of Anachronism (among other groups) and are able to take Atlas and their other Anatolian, Callie) with them to these events where they camp out at night. The dogs are accustomed to people in “odd” dress, armour, etc. 

Atlas also attends educational breed events for the Anatolian Shepherd Dog Club of America such as the Dog Expo that happens every February in conjunction with the Silver Bay Kennel Club Dog Show at the Del Mar Fair Grounds.
