About Rosin

Rosin was the dog who helped define our vision for Fiddler’s Dream Anatolians. A balanced and thoughtful Anatolian Shepherd Dog, he possessed the steady temperament, natural guardian instinct, and sound structure that we believe are essential to preserving this remarkable breed.

As a home and family guardian, Rosin was calm, intuitive, and deeply devoted to those in his care. Although he did not live full-time with livestock, he was introduced to a variety of stock as a puppy and young adult, demonstrating the respectful confidence and sound judgment characteristic of a correct Anatolian.

Athletic and powerfully built, Rosin weighed approximately 145–150 pounds and exemplified correct breed type with strong movement, balanced proportions, and no disqualifying faults. He completed the recommended health testing, including OFA certifications and Embark DNA screening, providing another measure of confidence in the qualities he passed to future generations.

Today, Rosin’s legacy continues through his descendants—most notably his Champion daughter, Musetta—and through the breeding philosophy that remains at the heart of Fiddler’s Dream Anatolians. While he is deeply missed, his influence continues to shape every generation that follows.
